A day dedicated to waste collection at sea

The 3rd edition of Plastic Hunt | took place on Sunday 28 July Hunting for marine waste, an event organized by the City of Varazze, in collaboration with Menkab Il Respiro del Mare, the Lega Navale Section of Varazze, D-Marin|Marina di Varazze.

Many activities are proposed: microscope workshops with marine biologists from Mekab – Il Breathe del Mare, dedicated to young volunteers, distribution of information flyers on marine waste and, of course, the actual ‘waste hunt’ thanks to SUPs and kayaks made available to the Naval League for a collection in the name of sustainability

The guys from the Varazze Naval League and the Menkab team guided the young volunteers and boaters in the collection and removal of marine waste. Among the participants also the pupils of class 1A of the Blue Section of Varazze. Everyone was very good and a special thanks to Michele who contributed with a particularly large collection.
